We're away! Week 1


KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES 

DAY 1- 25/03/12
North Tamborine to Moree

Said goodbye to Rusty & Chilli…. tears.  First stop lunch on side of road 70k east of Goondiwind on to Bogabilla drink at the Wobbly Boot hotel warm beer that was a bit stale. Arrived at Moree at 3.00pm Met up with Uncle Greg & Aunty Del overnight @ Gwydir Caravan Park $69 straight to Hot pool nice.39* 37* 35* 34* degree pools and recommendation only 15mins. Good advice as felt like jelly and all wobbly!

DAY 2 - 26/03/12
Moree to Free camp near Warren NSW

Hot spa Moree before breaky - 8.30 Kacie travelling with Greg & Del leaving to go to Bourke but road closed turned around heading to Connabarabran fuelled and checked info centre about fruit fly info. 1.30pm Lunch at Hickey Falls short swim (freezing cold!) Great spot to overnight at but headed to 8Ks  outside of Warren. First free camp. Could only get every other tv channel except 7 (Home & Away & Revenge for Kerriann not happy!).

DAY 3 - 27/03/12 -  JESSICA'S 14TH BIRTHDAY 
8KM outside of Warren free camp.

Cool night sleep bacon and eggs for birthday breaky for Jess.  Open all the presents and on our way Cheryl travelling with Greg & Del today to Cobar fuelled up, a few groceries and lunch at the park on our way to Wilcannia. Come across some new tree types ( nicker tree, bra tree, shoe tree, bottle tree & stuffed toy tree).Wilcannia reminds me (Kerriann) of Normanton fuel cost $172.9, 17 cents difference. Free camp at Spring Hill Rest area 74Km W of Wilcannia or 122km E Broken Hill stop for the night Birthday cake for Jess.

DAY 4 - 28/03/12 
Spring Hill Rest Area (Good stop get in early lots of vans)

Heading to Broken Hill 8.30am. Went to Telstra shop all set up internet, stock up Heading to Menindee turned off to Block Dam but to smelly from dead carp on river bank near weir.  Water rushing through the gates and dozens of cormorants diving for fish in the rushing water. Moved back to Pamamaroo Lake on side of road by lake. Yabbie pots in waiting waiting.  Checked pots 2hrs later 1 only first steak on bbq great sunset here for 2 days.
